Pearl Lugger Cruises

Enjoy a wonderful cruise sailing around the Gippsland Lakes aboard the historic Pearl Lugger “PAM”, Gippsland's very own tall ship. Cruises depart from the Pier 70 Restaurant in Paynesville, the Nungurner Jetty and Myers Street Jetty in Lakes Entrance, depending upon weather and demand.

This magnificent sailing vessel was originally built in 1902, over 110 years ago. The pearl lugger started her long working life in Broome WA, before being wrecked, rebuilt and moved to Darwin in 1928. Beached in 1960 and abandoned once again, Dan McLay discovered the wreckage in 1989. 25 years later the PAM Pearl Lugger has been fully restored to her former glory.

We run morning and afternoon cruises depending upon weather conditions and demand. For everybody visiting East Gippsland who is interested in sailing and maritime history, or just looking for something quite unique and great fun to do on their holidays, well this is definitely for you !
